Peggy S. Bittick

Founder

Peggy S. Bittick is the founder of The Bittick Law Firm in Pearland, Texas. A lifelong resident of Brazoria County, she was born in Pearland in 1965 and has remained deeply rooted in the community ever since.

Peggy graduated as valedictorian of her high school class, earned her B.S. in Education from the University of Texas, and received her J.D., cum laude, from South Texas College of Law. While in law school, she served as Assistant Articles Editor and later Note & Comment Editor on the South Texas Law Review Board.

Before becoming a lawyer, Peggy taught science and coached in Pearland ISD. Her background in education still shapes her practice today: she believes people deserve clear explanations and a real understanding of the decisions affecting their lives.

Over nearly three decades in practice, Peggy has represented thousands of clients, mediated hundreds of disputes, and served in leadership roles mentoring attorneys and improving legal systems and service.

Today, she leads The Bittick Law Firm alongside her son, Gavin Bittick, the firm’s Director of Operations.

Peggy has also served her community through leadership roles in Pearland ISD, Pearland Rotary, and other civic and professional organizations. She is also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and, with her wife Patrise, was part of the first same-sex couple in Brazoria County to receive a marriage license after Obergefell v. Hodges.

Peggy’s approach to the law can be summed up in three words:
Exacting. Protective. Unflinching.

Outside the office, Peggy enjoys women's basketball, Houston Astros, traveling, reading, writing, and life with Patrise, their two corgis, Altuve, and Piglet, and their cat, Beatrix Potter.
